History of Growth and Giving
Since the year 2000 when founder Cathy Cortazzo brought to life her vision of uniting the community to raise funds for those in need, the Cranberry CUP has continued to grow by expanding its activities and ability to raise funds for many people in need. The success of our Softball Tournament, Golf Classic and Kickoff Party is due entirely to the dedication of volunteers and the generosity of individuals, neighborhoods, businesses and government agencies. The CUP currently raises money through registration fees, raffle ticket sales, individual and business contributions and corporate sponsorships. Individuals and companies also donate essential products and services or provide them at reduced rates.
Since the year 2000, the Cranberry CUP has raised over $2.5 MILLION DOLLARS for local families who are experiencing extreme financial and medical hardships. The CUP also provides assistance to families within our community during the holidays. In addition, the CUP has established an annual scholarship for community service and volunteerism.
The Cranberry CUP helps Cranberry Township families all year ‘round —not just in August!
